       An explanation of the purpose and organization of the War Service
work was
given on a foregoing page in the Agricultural Agent$6 portion of this report,
The Home Agent ls department worked most closely with nutrition and garden
       Township nutrition leaders appointed a leader in each school district,
closed and village school districts included. Cooperati-n cf the county nurses,
county superintendents of schools, Parm Security home supervisor, county
Defense Council nutrition chairman, and vocational home economics teachers
in the promotion of this project.
       Reports from the canning information given in June were reported by
district and township leaders:
                250 - leaders trained by Home Agent
                125 - No, Local meetings held by leaders
              5,197 - Total families receiving this information (through
                                                meeting or otherwise)
Reports of use of material given in September to garden and nutrition leaders
drying, sulfuring, brining and storing of food are not completed, but indications
are that results will approximate the above reports.
