In the early 30's a new baseball
diamond was developed on the pasture of
John Marzynski, Hwy S, North of the
Cassel Church. Some younger players
were added to the roster and baseball
became the Sunday afternoon family
entertainment. Some of the teams
competing against the Cassel Giants were
Athens, Halder, Edgar, Fenwood,
Marathon and the Fromm Bros. Foxes.
The Fromm's Team was the class of the
league with shiny black uniforms with
silver lettering and a silver fox monogram
on each uniform. Their mascot was a
trained silver fox on a leash which trav-

games.
