An Ordinance to Regulate the Collection And Disposition of Garbage And Rubbish0
Whereas, garbage and rubbish are or may be sources of disease and
detriment to the public health; and
Whereas, The regulations of the removal or disposition thereof is a
municipal function:
The Coymmon Council ofthe City of Chilton do ordain as follows:
Section I, It is hereby determined of the declared to be necessary
and proper for the protection of the Health and general welfare of the public
to provide a safe and sanitary method and means of removal and disposition
of garbage and rubbish.
Section 2, For the purpose of this Ordinance the terms ",arbageu and
"rubish" are defined as follows:
(a) "Garbage," all organic wats:  refuze and residue of ani:im-als,
fruit or vegetables matter that attend the use, preparation, cooking,
dealing in or storage of meat, fish, fowl, fruit, vegetable or grain.
(b) "Rubbish", all worthless or -Ascarded metal, glassware, -nd other
aon-inflam able materials, including ashes, but specifically excluding gar-
bage as defined above. a&,
Section 3 (a) no person, firm or corporation other than the City,
by? its agents or its auly licensed contractors may collect and transport
over the streets in the limito of the City of S        any garbage defined
above in (b) no person, firm, or corporation shall set fire or burn any
rubbish on any Ctreet in the City of Chilton at any time, or on any private
premises within the limits of the City of -hlton excdpt between the hours
of sunrise and sun3et, (c) no person, firm, or.corporation shall set on fire
or burn any garbage any place within the corporate limits of the City of
Chiltori,                         drdned
(d) any person violating the provisions of this section of this
Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by
a fine not exceeding Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars or by imprisonment in
