Dear Sir:
The following information is being transmitted to
you for whatever it is worth. The Alien Enemy Control Unit
has no information as to the value or reliability of the
inforiation.
"Camp McCoy, a large military camp, is being
constructed near Sparta, Wisconsin. On its grounds
is located an enemy alien detention camp. A large
number of German aliens are interned there."
"Recently one prominent German alien was permitted
to have a woman friend from a distant city call on
him. Other aliens visit the Camp Exchange to enjoy
their drinks. Others .are allowed to conduct the
services in the Camp Chapel for the American soldiers.
It is also reported that the Commanding Officer of
Camp McCoy is of German nationality."
