Eau Claire Wis. Mar 1st
Dear Sister's Son:
It is not very long ago since we wrote to you but we
believe that you must by now have received the letter which
we sent. We have now today sent the ticket to you.
We did not intend to send it before Elling came down
from the woods, but then I talked with the agent and found I
could get it whenever I pleased so then i thought it was
best to send it to you now so you can get here before the
mills start up.
And when you have with certainty decided when you are
leaving then you must inform us as to your departure date
from Trondhjem so that either the agent or we will be at the
station when you come to meet you; And if you have changed
your mind about leaving then you must either send the ticket
back as soon as possible or if there is any other person who
is with certainly leaving you can let them take it.
And one thing I want to ask you: namely, if you have
any money you can spare until you get here if you would be
so kind as to buy me a half dozen teaspoons (6). I should
really have liked to have a whole dozen (12) but it is not
likely that you can spare that much.
As to warm wool clothes you must not bring too much
for they will be thrown away when you come here anyway.
As to the teasppons, if you would please buy them a
little large. They can rather be a little expensive because
I do not want the smallest ones. And then I must quit with
my poor writing for this time, but a friendly greeting to
your parents. They are greeted from Elling also and finaly
are you most kindly greeted from me.
Your aunt.
Guruanna Andersen Sende
You are greeted from Anna.
She got a little daughter one of these days.
