RESOLUTIONS. \V'hereas, the railroads of this couniry in the year 1908 ma(le a re-iulatioii requiring all pacl)kages of goods less than carloa(ls to be marked in full with the consignees flame and ad(ldress and whereas, salid rule applies to each package of cheese however small and has greatly increased the labor alnd care of the shippers of cheese an(l is pro- ductive of great injury an(l loss in that, that said marking publishes to everyone the oname anid add(lr(ss of customers which every shipper has a right shall be kept private. That no good reason exsists for said rule since no losses have occured by reason of not marking in full: Therefore be it resolved, that we ask that the regulation requiring cheese to be marked in full be rescinded so far as it applies to cheese shipments for the reason that it is arbitrary, unreasonable and oppressive: Resolved, that we favor the organization of a county agricultural and dairy school for the better training of our young men in the practice of farming, dairying and cheesemaking. Whereas, it is evident that this association is of benefit to the people of southern Wisconsin and is worthy of being made a permanent organization: Therefore be it resdlved, that the executive committee be and the same is directed to have the association duly incorperated under the laws of this state under the name of Southern Wisconsin Dairymen's and Cheesemakers' Association.
