-21- COUNTY SCHOOL AND 4 H1 FAIRS Fairs ar( held each year ait many points in the County. These include Lancast.r, Platteville, Bloomington, Boscobel, ?Iuscoda, Fennimoru, Cuba City, Montfort, Livingston and Blue iiiver along with small or exhibits. The Agent participates in most of these in some capacity. Theoe events provide 7n excellent opportunity for publicity on work being sponsored by Grannt County. The Agent appruci-teus th_ opportunity to be of service in these events. MISCELLANEOUS ACTIVITIES The Aberduen Angus Salie htlld last spring at Lancaster received the fullest cooperation from the Agent. Prospects are bright for A bigger event in 1940. The other brcd associitions requested the help of the Ag nt at different times. Farm r:cord keening r ceived some attention last year. County slide publicity wrs given to thte results of previous years records. These records showed concrete reasons why some farmers continually rnmke n profit vwhile others under the same conditions do not. Poultry work included a county-wide hatcherymen's meeting and educational work on baby chick problems. One county 4 H boy, Richard Munns of Fonnimore receiv-d ci free trip to the W'orld's Poultry Congress at Cleveltnd. This was made possible by poultry interests of the County and was an award for excellent poultry activities in nine ye'.rs of 4 Hi club work. A Grant County poultry booth was on exhibit at the .Stl.te F~air this fall. The Agnt hopes to continue this booth activity in 1940 as a great deral of educational and county publicity value is derived therefrom.
