I was not quite forgotten. I had not intended that so
much time should elapse before I answered it,
but I was much engaged at the period when it arrived
with my dear Father who had come to __________ for
the benifit of his health, which was then, and still
____________ I am sorry to say in a very precarious state.
He and his wife did not leave Yorkshire till the middle
of October, then, I had many things, ________ during
their stay, to attend to; this __________________
passed away till we find ourselves at the
commencment of a New Year. I often think of you
my dear Friend, and of your ______________ to
me and John in any ____ of emergency, also of the
_______________________ we spent together. You say
you have not made a friend of any one in your
vicinity, I can assure you I have found no one
here to fill your place, and to be so much like
a sister to me. Joseph's new wife might have done
so had she been anything like you, but she is
very unlike, ___ quite a contrast, in _____, heavenly
