Stuart Vorpagel, Honey Creek, has kept bees for over thirty years, starting when he was in high school. He has worked as a state bee inspector and federal bee inspector and has taught beekeeping classes for several years. As one of the best known and most knowledgeable bee- keepers, his colonies of bees receive the utmost care and attention and produce one of nature's most highly prized trea- sures... pure honey. Did you know.. .that honeybees tap over two million flowers to make one pound of honey. A hive of bees flies over 55,000 miles to make one pound of honey. The average worker honeybee makes 1/12 teaspoon of honey in her lifetime.
