Smith, Toni; Wedemeyer, Martha (ed.) / Tea and service : 100 year history of the Port Washington Woman's Club
(1998)
Acknowledgments
Acknowledgments They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Ambrose Mayer, your pictures truly made our words come alive: Franklin Street at the turn of the century, the Zimmerman Band and the old Opera House. We hope we've captured a bit of Port Washington while chronicling the history of our club. We'd like to acknowledge all members of the Club as sisters forming a link to the past and continuing dedication to community improvement and strengthening bonds of friendship between its members. To the following a big hug for believing in the project and offering support and encouragement. Linda Nenn, Nancy Messereau, Vern Arndt. Our cover was created by Frank Braun. Many thanks, Frank. Last but not least, our husbands, their patience and forbearance deserves our appreciation. And thanks to Martha's daughter, Joanne Looze, who walked us through the intricacies of computer layout and did our master copy.
