Dear Miss James.
Please send me some more stationery--a s83ll amount.
I am planning to h9ve some printed for my department of the work, but
have run aganist the fact that I have not appirently any left of the
committee except Miss Gapen. Under the circumstances it will be best
to run merely my name as chaimman, will it not? Anyway send a couple of
dozen sheets and envelopes to tide me over a few days.
Mrs Harriet Hoag writes me from Waterloo that she cannot do the
press work for Jefferson county. Suppose you try 1irs Fanny 'eniish Earl
of Lake Mills. 4he is a capable womran and a trained writer.
IsAt it a shame that so much roeny hts to go into organizatians
that are not needed. I see Miss Wagner has secured some money for an
off'ice . Wish I might come in to hear Mrs Hale hut cannot manage. it.
Cordially ~)L~ 4~~
