The United States Christian Commission Sends this sheet as the Soldier's message to his home. Let it hasten to those who wait for tidings. U.S. General Hospital No. Nashville. Tenn. 6 May 1865. My dear daughter, I will write to you on a soldiers, sheet to show you what kind it is and how it looks. The soldiers often write home, and often receive letters from home. Many of them are very good boys others are not quite so good as they might be. I talk with a great many of them, and tell them to be good. Some of them are married and have little boys and little girls at home. They talk about them and write to them, same as I do. This is a bright, beautiful, balmy morning.
