Armed man standing to left, holding a drawn sword before his face and a long shield behind him, all within outer circle. No inscription. Rev. Patriarchal cross within outer circle; large pellets in the middle angles of the cross; two arcs ending in trefoils springing from the outer circle and ending in the lower angles. No inscription. 6.3—10.2 g. Numis. Chr., 7-XV (1975), 179; Schlumberger 18 (p1. I, 1 & 2). BALDWIN II, restored (1108—1118) 7. iE (P1. II) Obv. Broad jeweled cross potent, within outer circle. Armed man walking to left, holding up a small cross in his right hand and with his left hand on the hilt of his sword; BAIAOVINOCAO ~AOC~V, all within outer circle. Rev. Long cross fleury standing on floriate base; pellet in each angle of the cross; all within outer circle. No inscription. 3.2—4.2 g. Schlumberger 21 (p1. I, 7). 9. ~E (P1. II) Obv. Armed man walking to left, as no. 8. Inscription placed irregularly in the field reading downward: BAI before the figure, AOIN behind it. Rev. Cross fleury standing on floriate base; usually a pellet in each angle of the cross and a pellet at each end. No inscription. 2.4—4.6 g. Schlumberger 21 (p1. I, 8 & 9).
