Ratification of the Constitution by the states: Delaware. Microform supplement
([1978])
Introduction, p. iii
Page iii
Introduction The microform supplement is intended to provide a fuller documentation of the history of the debate over the Constitution in Delaware than is possible in the printed volume. The supplement contains official documents, letters, and newspaper items. Except for some photographic reproductions, the documents consist mostly of literal transcripts. Transcripts of documents edited according to the editorial procedures outlined in Volume III have been so marked. The documents are arranged chronologically except for documents on particular subjects which are grouped together. The pages in the supplement are numbered consecutively in the upper right hand corner. The document number for each individual item is placed on the left of the first page of the item, immediately preceding the heading. Footnotes to the documents indicate the Delaware reprinting of newspaper items and the sources of other printed material and of the manuscripts. Many items reprinted in Delaware newspapers were first printed in other states. We have therefore included an appendix at the end of the supplement which lists the significant items reprinted in Delaware. iii
