V. D. COMlUNITY RELATIONSHIPS The present enviable recognition and acceptance of the Brica Houses should be carefully safeguarded, but the Amrica House directors and the regional Pulblic Affairs officers should maintain a continuous self check to guarantee that the Houses do not become so completely identified as a community center that the fundanental objectives of the information program are sacrificed. Each regional Public Affairs officer should establish a regional policy on the types of local organizations which should be permitted to use the facilities of the Houses for their meetings, the conditions under which this permission is to be granted, and the best methods to be used by the America Houses to capitalize on the presence of these organizations. - 139 -
