Sveinbjörn Egilsson. Sketch by the great Norwegian historian Rudolf Keyser (1803-64), who spent two years in Iceland (1825-7) studying Old and Modern Icelandic with Sveinbjörn and Hallgrímur Scheving. He and Jónas became good friends and Jónas's poem "Til Keysers" (not included in the present collection) is addressed to him.
