Abstract:

Minutes of meetings of Department of Agriculture division heads, 1915-1922; of the Agriculture Commissioners, 1935-1937; and of the Board of Agriculture, 1938-1959, 1982-1983; and advisory councils to the Department, 1984-1985, relating to the appointments of agricultural committees, policy, regulations, procedures, and hearings and decisions concerning the inspection, grading, marketing and promotion of agricultural products, and the operation of the State Fair. No records are present for 1923-1934. The records received for this series from 1983 on consist of agendas, minutes, and related material from the advisory councils and the Board. The related agenda material includes copies of testimony before legislative committees, position statements, proposed legislative correspondence supporting or opposing proposed legislation, and administrator reports.
