They deal largely with employee contracts, building maintenance, and budget submissions to the County Board. More detailed documentation is found in the Secretary's subject and correspondence files, boxes 2-4. The annual and preliminary reports, and budgets in this file provide general information about school operations. The file “Lone Pine Elementary School Controversy, 1962-1963” documents the difficulties of the County Teachers College in supporting a laboratory school and in cooperating with the Wisconsin Rapids School District. This file, and the one titled “Discontinuance of Wood County College, 1964-1965,” deal with the problem of re-organizing higher education and teacher training in the region.
