Abstract:
Papers of Edward H. Farrington, a professor of dairy science at the University of Wisconsin. Included is personal and business correspondence with his brothers, Oliver C. Farrington, curator and geologist of the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, and Wallace R. Farrington, governor of Hawaii (1921-1929), and others. Also included are articles, speeches, annotated manuscripts, clippings, and materials relating to his patent for a butter tester. The collection also contains a scrapbook relating to the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, 1893, and a copy of the will of Stephen M. Babcock, University of Wisconsin agricultural chemist.
