Scope and Content Note: Records of the Council and the Board, 1989-2002. For each, the records include minutes of the body and of its executive committee, extensive agenda materials, plans, and reports. Minutes of each are incomplete, but those of the Board are particularly so. Also present are records of various subcommittees and work groups, as well as records of the Open Records Committee of the Wisconsin Land Information Association, a private organization. Records concerning the state program's goal of modernizing land records consist of grant application materials from local governments and plans submitted by counties in 1999. (Plans for other years are available in the Government Publications section of the Historical Society Library.) A 1999 survey of Wisconsin land use opinions is included.

Scope and Content Note: Land Information Integration Plans and Land Records Modernization Plans for Wisconsin counties, 1998-2003. The plans are designed to communicate developments, projects, and goals about land and the infrastructure between state and local government, agencies, and citizens. Responses to the Wisconsin Land Information Program status survey are found for most counties. These surveys were submitted for 1998 and 1999 in order to receive grant funding from the Land Information Grant Program for the 2000 grant year. GIS planning and implementation information is scattered throughout the records.
