The Emile de Antonio Papers had previously been arranged in three sections. The three sections overlapped in dates of the materials and in kinds of documentation included. The first section consisted of materials transferred to the Archives in 1971 and 1972, and included biographical information, correspondence, and files on specific productions. The second section was transferred to the Archives between 1972 and 1976; it included materials generally similar to those in the first section plus material submitted to de Antonio and material on organizations in which de Antonio was involved. The third section comprised materials transferred between 1976 and 1983; they consisted of materials like those in both sections one and two. From 2012 to 2013, these prior arrangements were integrated, along with all accessions that arrived from 1983. The current arrangement therefore includes all records from before, in addition to the previously unprocessed material. See the Scope and Content Note for current arrangement of materials.
