Scope and Content Note: Additions, 1971-1999, the bulk of which documents the activities of the Midwest Office and the state and local chapters it represents. Present are administrative files of the regional office and local chapters, including budgets, staff reports, membership drives, and newsletters as well as records on the club's political activities on a local, state, and regional level. The rest of the collection is divided into environmental subject files which concern projects and programs the Sierra Club initiated, conferences the club attended, reports presented by the club, and regional groups with whom they worked.
