Summary: Musical comedy based on the play by Sergei Mikhalkov. Makhonin, a businessman hipster with questionable access to western goods and a great deal of influence, tries to procure a university doctorate without actually writing a dissertation. Instead, he uses the aid of a certain mercenary think tank. While his disco nightmare fails to dissuade him from his stray moral path, his daughter courts an idealistic journalist.
