Subseries: ARCW Special Events: AIDS Walk Wisconsin, 1991-2000
Arrangement of the Materials: Videos are listed in chronological order.
Biography/History: AIDS Walk Wisconsin is organized by Vivent Health, is held in Milwaukee and is the largest AIDS fundraiser in Wisconsin. It is an annual event, established in 1990, at which thousands of walkers raise pledges that support AIDS prevention, care, and treatment services in Wisconsin. From the beginning there have been well known personalities such as public officials, sports stars and actors as honorary chairs selected each year to help promote the Walk. In the early years a breakfast was held with a program featuring the honorary chairs and corporate sponsors of the Walk. Wisconsin AIDS Walk was the original name of the event which was changed to AIDS Walk Wisconsin along with the addition of a run for those preferring to run rather than walk the route.
