University of Wisconsin-Parkside Area Research Center Business Record Survey Records, 1975-1980

Biography/History

In 1978, the Parkside Archives received a grant of the National Historical Publications and Records Commission to conduct a survey of non-current records of businesses in Racine and Kenosha. This survey was conducted in two phases. The first phase involved businesses with more than 100 employees such as J.I. Case, S.C. Johnson, and American Motors Corporation. The second phase surveyed business with 50-100 employees, financial institutions and companies no longer in business.
