Access Restrictions

Student records from the Evangelical Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing and Mount Sinai Hospital School of Nursing are restricted in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. Handling of the lantern slides requires the assistance of an archivist.

There are no access restrictions on the rest of the materials, which is open to all members of the public in accordance with state law.

The researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel, privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of this collection (Wisconsin Statutes 19.21-19.39).

Acquisition Information

Sinai Samaritan Medical Center donated the collection to the Archives from 1996 to 1998 (accessions 1996-017, 1997-012, 1997-013, 1997-014, 1998-010, and 1998-038); Laurie Glass donated additional materials in March 2002 (accession 2001-064) and July 2007 (accession 2007-005), and Sister Rose Kraeger donated materials in 2007(accession 2006-064).

Processing Information

Chan Harries, Leslie Heinrichs, Charlie Kempker, Christel Maass, and Amy Schindler processed the collection in the Archives in June through September of 2001. Julie Hatfield (supervised by Christel Maass) processed accessions 2001-064, 2006-064, and 2007-005 from September to December 2012.
