The Avenues West Neighborhood Association was established in 1982. The association
represents a 90-block section of Milwaukee immediately west of downtown. It is a partnership
of area institutions, business interests, church groups, schools, and individuals. The
association exists to improve the quality of life and the stability of the neighborhood,
foster business growth and development, insure the quality and security of neighborhood
housing, and build an educational environment that serves the needs of adults and
children.
