Abstract:
Records relating to the activities of the Office of Diversity/Compliance, which changed its name from the Equal Opportunity Office in 1995. The records include affirmative action plans created by individual colleges and divisions, UWM-wide affirmative action plans and drafts, the text of the 1993 Conciliation Agreement with the Office of Federal Contractor Compliance Programs (OFCCP), reports showing efforts to hire minority faculty, anonymous logs of discrimination case activity, and documentation related to affirmative action workshops. The collection also contains correspondence relating to the implementation of the affirmative action plans and the creation and revision of UWM's non-discrimination policy.
