Access Restrictions

Box 6 contains confidential student information that is restricted under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).

There are no access restrictions on the rest of the collection, which is open to all members of the public in accordance with state law.

Use Restrictions

The researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel, privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of this collection (Wisconsin Statutes 19.21-19.39).

Acquisition Information

An unknown individual transferred the collection to the Archives prior to 1989. The Estate of Gene Schuttey donated accession 2007-021 in September 2007. The department transferred additional materials in November 2015 (accession 2015-009) and February 2016 (accession 2015-033).

Processing Information

Bill Jackson processed the collection at the Archives in July 1994. Rachel Arndt processed accession 2007-021 in October 2007.

In September 2011, Bob Jaeger reprocessed the collection, arranging it into three series and placing the safety film negatives into box 8.

Brad Houston added some additional material in November 2012. Dannette Lank, a student intern under the supervision of Christel Maass, processed a portion of accession 2015-009 in March 2016. Ashlie Biddle finished processing accessions 2015-009 and 2015-033 during the Summer of 2016. The entire collection was also reprocessed during this time and rearranged into two series. In October 2016, Brad Houston added the digital portions of 2015-009 to the main collection.

Shiraz Bhathena updated the finding aid to reflect Phaedra digital video file being from 2001 and not 1973 as well as processor information in April 2019 and updated the finding aid to list the specific folders that digital files could be found on local drive and in Content DM in May 2019.
