In general, the records focus on policy, membership, fundraising, public outreach, and development of the animal collection; some correspondence and blueprints also document building projects and exhibits constructed during the 1970s and fundraising efforts for the new Milwaukee County Zoo during the 1950s. Photographs include images of activities and views of both Milwaukee County Zoo and Washington Park Zoo, personnel, and animals and their zoo habitats. Several photographs of television personality Marlin Perkins are included. Also included is moving image material related to the zoo.
