Abstract: Mueller Mirror and Art Glass Works, formerly the Milwaukee Mirror and Art Glass Works, made and furnished mirrors and stained glass windows for local and out-of-state churches, businesses, and private residences. The bulk of the records are window design drawings of flora, geometric patterns, and religious figures and symbols. Religious depictions include Christ, the Holy Family, Saints, the Cross, and the Star of David. A client ledger, advertisements, drawings of literary characters, and photographs of stained glass window installations are also included in the collection.

Abstract: The Multicultural Student Center records documents the campus activities of various student organizations affiliated the Multicultural Student Center as well as the activities of the Center itself. This collection is largely composed of documents generated by registered student organizations including African Diaspora, La Collectiva Cultural de Aztlan, and Union Puertorriquena. In addition there are documents of files from the Multicultural Student Center itself, largely relating to the move to and use of the Red Gymnasium building on campus. The collection also includes photographs from the Multicultural Student Center's ephemera collection and audio-visual media generated by student groups at campus events.

Abstract: Murphy W. Bell is a Baton Rouge attorney active in civil rights cases throughout the state of Louisiana. A past president of the Baton Rouge chapter of the NAACP, he has represented both this organization and CORE as well as individuals in legal contests in the civil rights field. This film consists of his files of closed cases which fall in the years 1958-1966. The files are chiefly legal documents such as petitions, motions, affidavits, etc.; but also include some correspondence, clippings, a few photographs, material from NAACP legal conferences, and a small amount of Ku Klux Klan literature.

Abstract: Summaries of musical compositions used in specific productions. Although primarily for feature films, sheets for cartoons, shorts, and documentaries are also included. The types of information listed may vary. Generally it includes the title, composer, arranger, and publisher of the composition; from whom its rights were secured; the intended usage, including the extent used (partial or entire), how it was used (vocal or instrumental, background or visual) and the time it was used (broken down by minutes and seconds); an indication of the appropriate reel or sequence in which it was used; and miscellaneous added information. In addition the headings of the Sheets list the title, production company, releasing company, producer, and musical director of the film.

Abstract: The Music Study Club in La Crosse, Wisconsin, began in 1911 as a married women’s group. Soon after, single women were allowed to join. The Club promoted study and appreciation of musical art among its members and encourages the cultivation of music in the community. Men were allowed to join in 1972. It is thought that the group disbanded sometime after 1983. This collection includes yearbooks or membership booklets from 1921-1983, as well as programs, 1919-1950 and many undated, and newspaper articles. While the club members performed musical numbers and programs themselves, they also brought in nationally known talent up through the 1920s. As a result, many performers’ promotional photographs (1920s) and contracts from the 1920s are included that were arranged by Elise (Lovold) Cilley (Mrs. Percy L. Cilley). Some performances were sponsored by the La Crosse Music Club and some were underwritten by Mrs. Cilley herself.

Abstract: Muster-in and muster-out rolls for Wisconsin units from the Civil War. Muster-in rolls feature the regiment and company name, names of officers, pay periods, and names of enlisted men. Some include notes on the movements and locations of the regiment during the war. Muster-out rolls include regimental number and company name, date, roster of troops, and pay due to those men, as well as a muster-out location. All detachments, field and hospital staff muster rolls are placed first within each regiment. Regiments include: 8th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 29th, 30th, 32nd, 35th, 43rd, 46th, 47th, and 51st Wisconsin Infantry; 1st, and 3rd Wisconsin Cavalry, 7th, 9th and 12th Wisconsin Battery and a Commandant's Barracks Number 1 muster roll, featuring men of the 10th Wisconsin. The muster roll from the 12th Wisconsin Battery is on two sheets with date and regimental information on the first, location and the remainder of the men on the 2nd.
