Abstract: Interview conducted December 9-10, 1981 by Barbara Morford of the Historical Society staff with Fred A. Erchul, a CIO packinghouse workers' activist in Milwaukee as well as the secretary-treasurer of Milwaukee County IUC and Milwaukee County AFL-CIO from 1946 until his retirement. This interview is part of the Wisconsin Labor Oral History Project.

Abstract: Records are colored film negatives of architecture in Milwaukee and other cities in the United States. There are over 12,000 negatives. The photos range from the 1970s through the 1990s, and are undated. The majority of the negatives are focused on Milwaukee building exteriors, interiors, and scenes. The bulk of the collection is on 2x2 negative slides. The rest are 3.5x5 and 4x7 negative slides. The negatives are not dated.

Abstract: Papers of a Jo Daviess County, Illinois, and Marathon County, Wisconsin, farmer. Short entry diaries, 1898-1959, concern daily activities on her farm near Athens, Wis., housework and sewing, visits to church and neighbors, and the weather. Also includes a seamstress notebook, 1901-1902, and farm account book, 1945.

Abstract: Walter A. Erickson (1920-1993), a La Crosse, Wis., resident worked as a sports writer for the La Crosse Tribune newspaper from 1938-1942, and also freelanced for regional papers regarding local baseball games. Erickson was a sports enthusiast who managed La Crosse city basketball and softball teams, including Sheldon’s Cigar Store Team (basketball) and Ed’s Tavern (softball). Erickson supported local high school teams and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The bulk of the collection consists of materials pertaining to local sports in La Crosse, Wis., and includes newspaper clippings, photographs, and some miscellaneous materials. Some personal papers from Erickson include correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, and other miscellaneous items.
