Abstract: Photographs taken by Marie App of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis (Stevens Point, Wisconsin). Included in the collection are 8x10-inch prints, contact sheets, and negatives depicting the sisters engaged in their daily activities and routines. Also included are some photographs of the Amish in Southwestern Wisconsin and a listing of shows where App's photography was exhibited.

Abstract: General correspondence, personal correspondence, production records, and financial records documenting all aspects of the textile industry in Wisconsin. Included is information on women in the workforce, product marketing and development, and the impact of a major employer on the community. The collection also contains information on predecessor firms and subsidiary firms such as Appleton Superior Knitting Works, F.J. Harwood, Hutchinson & Co., Lake Superior Knitting Works, Reedsburg Mills, and Turner & Hutchinson; on Riverview Sanatorium, the United Boys' Brigade, and the State Historical Society Board of Curators; on the Congregational Church and mission work; and on the Lakeshore Camping Company, an early tourist agency. Also included are papers of F. Harwood Orbison.

Abstract: Papers of Jerry Apps, a writer and educator with a focus on rural Wisconsin, contain materials relating to books, instructional materials, speeches and presentations, correspondence, and material relating to the National Extension Leadership Development Program (NELDP). Book materials covering rural life and adult education include research, drafts, correspondence, reviews, and promotional and publicity materials. Instructional materials relate to courses in adult education and workshops on writing. Speeches and presentations relate to continuing education, extension programs, non-fiction writing, and rural Wisconsin which include speeches, presentation, program notes, and travel plans. The NELDP materials contain proposals, meeting information and planning, correspondence, and budget materials. Also includes personal journals, photographs, audio and video, as well as awards and nominations for writing and university service.
