Archival Resources in Wisconsin: Descriptive Finding Aids

	Subseries: 9D. John. K. Wright, 1904-1970 Scope and Content Note: This subseries contains the papers of John Kirtland Wright (1891-1969), who served as the AGS's librarian from 1920-1937, and then director from 1938-1949. The papers were donated to the AGS by his wife in 1970. They are comprised of mostly correspondence from Wright after he retired from the AGS in 1956 and was living in Lyme, New Hampshire. Also included is family correspondence, teaching materials, drawings and other artwork, and materials for Wright's books Geography in the Making (1952) and History of Geography (1966). When the collection came to the AGS in 1970, an inventory for each folder was created and placed in the folder.
