	Subseries: 6D. Charles B. Hitchcock, 1937-1967 Scope and Content Note: This subseries includes the papers of Charles Baker Hitchcock, who was director from 1953-1966. He was also Head of the Department of Hispanic American Research, 1938-1950, Assistant Director, 1943-1950, and Executive Secretary, 1950-1953. It contains materials from all of these positions, such as reports and correspondence on maps, projects, proposals, and conferences. Also included is some correspondence from O.M. Miller, who served as the Acting Director 1966-1967 after Hitchcock retired.
