Biography/History

The Racine Labor Paper was a labor newspaper founded in 1941 under the direction of editor Loren Norman and which ran for 60 years until January 4, 2001. The paper was published weekly for many years but became a biweekly paper briefly before discontinuing publication. In the height of its publication, it had more than 25,000 subscribers but had dropped to 4,000 by 2001. The paper received numerous awards and recognition over the years as one of the best labor newspapers in the country.
