George P. Connolly Papers, 1965-1967

Biography/History

George P. Connolly was born and attended public schools in Chicago, Illinois. As a Kenoshan he became the Executive Vice President of Brown National Bank, a President of the Kenosha Chamber of Commerce, and a member of many Kenosha Community Agency Boards. His efforts to bring UW-Parkside to the Kenosha/Racine area earned him the Kenosha Merit Award. Awarded by the Kenosha Rotary Club, the Kenosha Merit Award is presented to Kenoshans for their outstanding “service above self.” The George P. Connolly Papers reflect the diligent efforts of George Connolly and the Kenoshans for Parkside Committee in bringing UW-Parkside to Kenosha County.
