Scope and Content Note

The records are organized into four series: Administrative and Organizational Materials, Annual Meetings, Board of Directors, and Publications.

The Administrative and Organizational Materials include a variety of records from the organization's activities and administration, including Board of Regents and Executive Committee records. The series also includes, financial information, membership directories, oral history interviews, and other varied material. In addition, the collection also includes some biographical information on members, revisions to the by-laws and articles of incorporation, and materials related to the College's educational efforts. The records of the Auxiliary of the ACAAI, whose membership is composed of the spouses of members, makes up a small portion of the series, as do artifacts from anniversaries and annual conferences.

Materials held in the Annual Meetings series include attendee lists, programs, budgetary information, correspondence, venue information, participant evaluations, presenter release forms, various other related materials and, in some cases, photographs from the conference.

The Board of Directors' records include correspondence, minutes of Board meetings, and various reports and other associated materials.

The Publications series is divided into two sub-series: Books, and Periodicals. The Books pertain to asthma, immunology, and allergy, and date from the 1870s to 2013. The majority of the Periodicals sub-series is devoted to The Annals of Allergy, but also includes the College's newsletter, and miscellaneous other articles and promotional materials.
