Series: Constituent Correspondence
Scope and Content Note: The incoming letters are filed using the correspondence management system document number which is made up of a series of numbers including date and number of the response used. These letters are arranged sequentially by document number and include only incoming letters. The first part of the document number is based on the date the letter was answered followed by a series of numbers referencing the number of letters answered that day. For example, document number 9/082 refers to the letter answered on the 82nd day of 1979 (3/23/1979). A majority of the incoming letters are only available on 789 reels of “user” microfilm and some dates are missing. The dates of the correspondence are listed below for the researcher's convenience. Outgoing responses used to answer constituent mail are in the form letter library which is arranged by item number.
