Composed of three video components, documenting two separate performances of Electra, which was performed with The Trojan Women as part of the Fragments of a Trilogy by the Great Jones Repertory Company. Fragments of a Trilogy was conceived of and directed by Andrei Serban, with music composed by Elizabeth Swados. Swados used a combination of ancient languages to comprise the verbal dialogue in the production, including Greek, Latin, and others. There is one performance of Electra on Reel F2, and a different performance of Electra that was recorded with two different camera angles on Reels F1 and F3. Between the two productions, it was customary for the same roles to be depicted by different actors.
