M2005-077
Part 2 (M2005-077): Additions, 1955-1970
Physical Description: 15.0 c.f. (61 binders and 3 archives boxes)
Scope and Content Note: Black and white 35 mm, 120 mm and 4x5-inch negatives taken for stories that appeared in the International Harvester Company magazines, Harvester World and IH Today. During this period the magazines featured human interest stories centered loosely on the use of its products: agricultural equipment, trucks, and construction equipment. Articles featured companies, celebrities and ordinary people around the world who used International Harvester products. Many of the photographs were taken by photographer Angus McDougall, who also served as the photo editor for Harvester World during most of this period.
Arrangement of the Materials: The negatives are arranged by type (35 mm, 120 mm and 4x5-inch) and “job number.” The job numbers were assigned when the negatives were created. Use the finding aid to identify relevant job numbers and the boxes where they are stored. The finding aid is arranged in two sections. The first section is a box list arranged by type of negative and job number. Use this list to figure out which box contains the job numbers you are seeking. The second section is an appendix (Appendix B) arranged by magazine title, year, issue and page number. Use this index to identify relevant job numbers (all job numbers refer to 35 mm negatives unless otherwise noted).
