Records of a River Falls, Wisconsin area civic group involved in studying local community and political issues, influencing political decision making, and encouraging voter participation. Included is correspondence (1970-1973), press releases (1967-1973), news clippings (1967-1974), candidate questionnaires, a membership list, a copy of a 1967 league study of city government, copies of the chapter's newsletter, "The River Falls Voter" (1967-1978), and other records.
Collection Scope and Content NoteThe League of Women Voters papers are divided into six sections, as listed in the Contents List below. The Know-Your-Town Study concerns the municipal government of River Falls. The miscellaneous category includes annual reports, calendars, candidate questionnaires, information on issues of the day, information from one chapter to another, internal memos from one member to another within the local chapter, membership drive information, membership lists, etc. The newspaper clippings document the activities of the chapter.
