Biography/HistoryThe Farmers & Merchants State Bank of River Falls, Wisconsin, was incorporated under the state banking laws in 1892. In 1929 the bank went through complete reorganization due to its failure to collect interest on outstanding mortgages. With the help of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation the bank started operations again, but in 1933 it finally failed. In 1945 the assets of the bank were sold to secured creditors, and the liabilities were assumed by other banks.
