    This committee was created in March 1956 to keep up with de-
 velopment in atomic fields and to co-ordinate activities of depart-
 ments. It is composed primarily of state departments.

    In announcing the appointment of this committee, February 15,
 1960, the Governor stated that "15 major corporations have agreed
 to furnish top executives who will work with the Department of
 Administration on efficiency studies designed to streamline the state
 government's management practices." The committee organized
 itself into 7 task forces to study building maintenance; electronic
 data processing; accounting; building construction and space utiliza-
 tion; budgetary control and performance evaluation; personnel
 management; and purchasing. Each task force issued a separate
 report in 1960. In addition, a summary report was issued in 1961:
 Recommendations for Improvement in State Administration.

  The survey committee was appointed January 28, 1960 "to de-
velop a decisive and consistent public policy in respect to regulat-
ing the use of chemicals as feed supplements, food additives, pesti-
cides, growth regulators, and for similar purposes." In June, 1960,
