I
                          AN ACT
            TO PROVIDE FORl THE ANNUAL PUBLICATION OF A
        LEGISLATIVE MANUAL.
The People of the State of Wisconsin, represented in Senate and Assembly,
  do enact asfollow s
  SECTION 1. It shall be the duty of the Secretary of State to cause to be
prepared and printed by the State Printer, annually hereafter, for the use
of
the Senate and Assembly, a book to be denominated a "Manual," which
shall contain the Constitution of the United States and of this State, Jeffer-
son's Manual, Rules and Orders of the Senate and Azsembly. Joint Rules of
the Senate and A-sembly. LiStz of Senators and ASsemblymn. Employees of
each House, Diagrams of the Senate and Assembly Chambers. Statistical and
other information of the same description with that contained in the books
here-
tofore procured by Clerks of the two Houses, respectivelywith such other
mat-
ter as may be deemed useful.
  SECTION 2. The Secretary of State shall cause to be printed one thousand
copies of such Manual annually, one copy of which shall be distributed to
each Senator and Assemblyman within two weeks after the commencement
of each Session. The remainder of each edition shall be distributed as fol-
lows: four copies to each Member of the Senate and Assembly, one copy to
each of the Officers thereof, one copy to each of the State Officers, and
one
hundred and fifty copies shall be deposited with the Superintendent of Public
Property, for the use of the succeeding Lezis-lature.
  SECTION 3. There is hereby annually appropriated out of any money in the
  State Treasury not otherwis- appropriated. belonging to the General Fund,
an
  amount sufficient for the expenses authorized by this act.
