([2001?])

VIRGINIA E. LEFFLER
Growing up in Janesville
during the 1950s, Virginia Wagner
was raised in simpler times.
The daughter of Leonard "Hans,"
and Alice (Kluge) Wagner, she
spent countless hours at the ice
skating rink. While her parents
cared for the rink and warming
house, and while skating with her
friends, Virginia developed the
fondest of memories. Goose
Island/ Traxler Park, has been a
great part of her life.
After nine years of research,
Virginia is sharing those memories.
With this book, she is saving a
piece of Janesville's history. She
hopes those who enjoy her book
will relive their own memories and
reminisce about the fun they had at
the skating rink.
With Verlin, her husband of
38 years, Virginia now lives north
of Janesville. They have two
children, both married, and five
grandchildren. Phyllis and her
family live in Appleton, WI.
Daniel and his family live in
Sherwood, WI.
Although she no longer laces
up her skates, ice skating still is,
and will always be, a great part
of her life.
