TOMAH, 3257                                                          MONROE
        A bridge and switch of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Ry. in
this town give a livelihood to about 300 people.   Large quantities of butter,
made from milk produced on local dairy farms, are exported. The cranberry
industry of this section of Monroe county is growing. A tobacco sorting
plant, a large creamery and an ice cream factory are other important indus-
tries.

It is used for the making of catalogs and kraft paper goods. Tanned leather
