STATE BUREAU OF CIVIL
DEFENSE PROCESSES PUBLIC
LAW 85-606 REQUESTS
Applications from 20 counties and 17
municipalities for personnel and adminis-
trative funds under provisions of Public
Law 85-606 have been processed by the
State Bureau of Civil Defense, and for-
warded to OCDM for final approval. The
following political subdivisions, as well as
the WSBCD and state departments, are now
under consideration For sharing in the
$150,000 appropriation made to Wisconsin:
COUNTIES:
Brown, Buffalo, Dane, Douglas, Eau
Claire, Fond du Lac, Green Lake,
Iron, Kewaunee, Milwaukee, Oconto,
Outagamie, Pepin, Price, Shawano,
Sheboygan, Vernon, Vilas, Walworth,
Washington.
MUNICIPALITIES:
Algoma, Fond du Lac, Glendale,
Janesville, Kewaunee, Madison, Mani-
towoc, Menomonee Falls, Milwaukee,
Mondovi, Monroe, Nekoosa, St. Fran-
cis, Waukesha, Waupun, West Allis,
West Milwaukee.
It should be remembered that all CD
organizations which participate in Federal
Benefits must be included under the merit
system.  Merit system materials and in-
structions for completion were mailed to
all participating CD organizations on Nov-
ember 15. It is necessary that this informa-
tion bereturned to theState Bureau immedi-
ately so that the merit system will be
operative by January 1, 1961.
Firm figures on the monies to be re-
ceived by the State Bureau of Civil Defense
and political subdivisions will not be
known until final State and Federal
approval.
