[Three anonymous manuscript novels by American women authors]. ([between 1840? and 1880?] )

The rectos of leaves 1-228 contain a handwritten untitled novel set in a female boarding school in rural New England in the 1840s. The versos of those leaves contain two other manuscript works in verse by another hand running from the back of the volume to the front: "Rebecca" (beginning on the verso of leaf 220) and "Lady Lu" (beginning on the verso of leaf 135.)
