The Wisconsin defense has forced a
turnover on its opponent's first possession
five times in 13 games this season.
- Wisconsin gained 21 of its 32 (66 percent)
turnovers in its seven wins this season.
UW lost just four turnovers (including just
one interception) in those seven victories.
9 Sophomore running back Anthony Davis
has more rushing yardage (2,922) over the
past two seasons than any other Division I
player.
- Wide receiver Jonathan Orr has a school
freshman record 842 receiving yards this
season. The Big Ten record for receiving
yards by a freshman is 889 by
Northwestern's D'Wayne Bates in 1995.
* Sophomore Jim Leonhard's 438 punt
return yards this season broke Nick Davis'
old school single-season record of 427 set
in 1998.
- Freshman Brandon Williams set a school
record for kickoff return yards this season
with 639. The old record was held by Nate
Odomes (616 yards in 1986).
* Brooks Bollinger was named co-Big Ten
Offensive Player of the Week (with Iowa's
Brad Banks) for his performance vs.
Michigan State and was the first Wisconsin
QB to earn league P.OW. honors since
Darrell Bevell on Sept. 30, 1995.
e Wisconsin registered season highs with
416 rushing yards and 550 yards in total
offense in its regular-season finale vs.
Minnesota.
- Wisconsin has lost only four fumbles in
its last 12 games (537 attempts).
e Five different Badgers scored touchdowns
at Michigan State (the most for UW since
five scored vs. Indiana on Nov. 11, 2000).
* Wisconsin limited two of the Big Ten's
highest-scoring offenses -- Iowa (38.9 ppg)
and Ohio State (29.2) -- to 20 and 19
points, respectively, this season. That was a
season-low for the Orange Bowl-bound
Hawkeyes.
* Wisconsin had two 100-yard rushers
(Anthony Davis and Dwayne Smith) at
Michigan State for the first time since
Davis and Bollinger did it at Penn State on
Sept. 22, 2001. The last time UW had two
running backs rush for at least 100 yards in
Senior Al Johnson was a finalist for the
Dave Rimington Trophy as the nation's top
center. Johnson was a consensus second-
team All-Big Ten choice in 2002.
a game was against Indiana on Oct. 16,
1999 (Ron Dayne and Michael Bennett).

in which it has rushed at least 50 times,
including all three times (Fresno State,
Michigan State and Minnesota) this year.
* UW has had seven plays of more than 40
yards in length this season and five of
those have come in the last six games.
e Wisconsin has recorded 25 scoring drives
at least eight plays in length this season.
The Badgers had 20 such drives last season.
* Fourteen of Wisconsin's last 21 scoring
drives (during the last six games) have
been at least 60 yards long.
e Wisconsin allowed just four rushing
touchdowns in its last seven games (since
Oct. 5).
e Wisconsin's two leading tacklers are
safeties Ryan Aiello and Jim Leonhard. The
last defensive back to lead the Badgers in
tackles was Reggie Holt with 144 in 1991.
9 Wisconsin has had two freshmen
receivers (Jonathan Orr, twice, and Brandon
Williams, once) register 100-yard games
