WISCONSIN FOOTBALL ALAMO BOWL GUIDE The Wisconsin defense has forced a turnover on its opponent's first possession five times in 13 games this season. - Wisconsin gained 21 of its 32 (66 percent) turnovers in its seven wins this season. UW lost just four turnovers (including just one interception) in those seven victories. 9 Sophomore running back Anthony Davis has more rushing yardage (2,922) over the past two seasons than any other Division I player. - Wide receiver Jonathan Orr has a school freshman record 842 receiving yards this season. The Big Ten record for receiving yards by a freshman is 889 by Northwestern's D'Wayne Bates in 1995. * Sophomore Jim Leonhard's 438 punt return yards this season broke Nick Davis' old school single-season record of 427 set in 1998. - Freshman Brandon Williams set a school record for kickoff return yards this season with 639. The old record was held by Nate Odomes (616 yards in 1986). * Brooks Bollinger was named co-Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week (with Iowa's Brad Banks) for his performance vs. Michigan State and was the first Wisconsin QB to earn league P.OW. honors since Darrell Bevell on Sept. 30, 1995. e Wisconsin registered season highs with 416 rushing yards and 550 yards in total offense in its regular-season finale vs. Minnesota. - Wisconsin has lost only four fumbles in its last 12 games (537 attempts). e Five different Badgers scored touchdowns at Michigan State (the most for UW since five scored vs. Indiana on Nov. 11, 2000). * Wisconsin limited two of the Big Ten's highest-scoring offenses -- Iowa (38.9 ppg) and Ohio State (29.2) -- to 20 and 19 points, respectively, this season. That was a season-low for the Orange Bowl-bound Hawkeyes. * Wisconsin had two 100-yard rushers (Anthony Davis and Dwayne Smith) at Michigan State for the first time since Davis and Bollinger did it at Penn State on Sept. 22, 2001. The last time UW had two running backs rush for at least 100 yards in Senior Al Johnson was a finalist for the Dave Rimington Trophy as the nation's top center. Johnson was a consensus second- team All-Big Ten choice in 2002. a game was against Indiana on Oct. 16, 1999 (Ron Dayne and Michael Bennett). * The UW has won 15 of the last 16 games in which it has rushed at least 50 times, including all three times (Fresno State, Michigan State and Minnesota) this year. * UW has had seven plays of more than 40 yards in length this season and five of those have come in the last six games. e Wisconsin has recorded 25 scoring drives at least eight plays in length this season. The Badgers had 20 such drives last season. * Fourteen of Wisconsin's last 21 scoring drives (during the last six games) have been at least 60 yards long. e Wisconsin allowed just four rushing touchdowns in its last seven games (since Oct. 5). e Wisconsin's two leading tacklers are safeties Ryan Aiello and Jim Leonhard. The last defensive back to lead the Badgers in tackles was Reggie Holt with 144 in 1991. 9 Wisconsin has had two freshmen receivers (Jonathan Orr, twice, and Brandon Williams, once) register 100-yard games
